Evolution is a vital, well-supported, unifying principle of the biological sciences, and the scientific evidence is overwhelmingly in favor of the idea that all living things share a common ancestry. Although there are legitimate debates about the patterns and processes of evolution, there is no serious scientific doubt that evolution occurred or that natural selection is a major mechanism in its occurrence. It is scientifically inappropriate and pedagogically irresponsible for creationist pseudoscience, including but not limited to "intelligent design," to be introduced into the science curricula of our nation's public schools.
So far, well over 800 Stevens, Stephens, Stephanies, Stefans, etc. have signed up. There's even a song.

My name is Stephen Skinner. And I openly denounce Darwinian evolution as an unsupported, unscientific lie foisted upon people who refuse to acknowledge the Truth revealed to us by evidence, experience, reason, geology, biology, astronomy, history, the fossil record, the testimony of our fathers, the scriptures, and the revelation of God himself that this universe and everything in it was created at God's command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.
I urge all of you who believe the lie of Darwinian evolution to look at the evidence, evidence that compels to believe that this world could not have evolved by random chance, that their is a God, that he has given us the revelation of his word through the Bible, and that he's sent his only Son to be the Savior of the world and die for our sins, more than that, to be raised again by the father so that we also may be raised at the resurrection of the dead.
The evidence compels us. God reveals it to us. I urge you all to see through this lie that has taken so many captive in this day.
